Transitions

Well, I'm here.

I've been a resident in my apartment for a full week now. The move in was interesting, because it rained for two days straight once we (my parents and I) got here, and one of those days involved moving everything into the apartment. Despite the rain, we got everything up three flights of stairs and into the apartment. It took me a day or so to get everything situated, and then I just had to wait for my furniture and roommate to get here.

During this time, my parents were SUCH a blessing. We arrived Friday afternoon and they stayed until Monday morning. This not only allowed me to sleep on a bed every night (my bed/mattress couldn't be delivered until Tuesday), and have help shopping, but it buffered the transition. I think I would have been a mess if I would have moved out here by myself or if they would have just moved my stuff in and left. I cannot thank God enough for the parents he has blessed me with.

The transition was/is harder than I expected. It's hard moving away from people and a place you are so comfortable with. I haven't experienced that since moving to Truman from high school, because when I left my home at TSU/CCF I moved into another comfort zone at NLR. Thankfully my roommate moved in on Tuesday and we new students had orientation on Friday. Right now my transition is all about being patient and trusting that the Lord is going to provide me with my community here.

After meeting the students in the MA Christian Formation and Soul Care program and hearing one of the two professors in charge of the program, I got SO excited. This program is exactly why I'm here. Not only do we have the normal reading and writing assignments, but we also have homework that requires us to take personal retreats and to devote time to prayer and meditation! Unlike the other programs, they work in time to work on our personal relationship with Jesus, so that we can be healthy in our spiritual walks in order to pour out that love and goodness to those that we minister to. I've never been so glad classes are starting!

Something else that I'm excited for and is a HUGE praise is that I have a job! I got hired at GAP this past week. It's just down the street and seems like a great work environment. I couldn't be happier with how this played out and praise the Lord that I got it settled so quickly.

For those of you who are dying to send me mail, here's my new address:
6419 S. Vinewood St. #304
Littleton, CO 80120

Here are a few pictures of my apartment. If you would like to see more of it, email me and you can see the whole album of pictures.

I thank our God for all of you! Thank you for your continued love and support.

What I ask you to pray for:
-My community would continue to build.
-Classes/studies starting.
-New job.
-Managing my time with job, school, and friends.
-And all things that come with transition.

grace and peace.

Glad you made it to Littleton. Colorado is intoxicating, not to mention cold. Have you gone skiing yet?

We miss you. The Sneds.
