Music To My Ears
When I lived in Kirksville all of the concerts were down south.
When I lived in Oklahoma all of the concerts were up north (or I was too busy with LEAD to go see them).
NOW, I'm in Denver...
Concert 1:
Sigur Ros at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
It's one of the most gorgeous venues I've ever been to! The stars were shining above me and giant red rocks (hence the name) were jutting up around me, creating the perfect atmosphere for outrageously good music.
Concert 2:
Matt Wertz, Jon McLaughlin (and others).
I've seen Matt and Jon before, but this was awesome! They didn't get very much play time since there were other artists there because it was a "taste of up and comings." So, that made me sad, but it was all acoustic since they had short sets, and that made up for it.
I wasn't supposed to take pictures, but I couldn't resist, so I hid my camera under my purse the entire time taking blind snap shots, hoping for the best. Without a flash and active artists, most didn't turn out. Man, these boys can play!
