Tick Tock

1 Week...

from now I will be starting the greatest adventure of my life.
from now I will be on a plane to Frankfurt.

Last minute items are being purchased, final plans are being made, and I am beginning the packing process. While most people would find the limited amount of items they are encouraged to take when backpacking a most daunting task, I am actually looking forward to it. When I take a weekend trip in the states I always over pack and I hate it every single time, and yet, because I can, I will probably continue to do it. However, in this instance, I cannot do that. The packing philosophy when backpacking in Europe is "lay out what you think you need and then get rid of half of it." While actually figuring out what to take and how to fit it in my pack is a bit daunting, I am excited about the simple living I will be required to carry out on this trip. Call me crazy, but I am sure it is going to be one of the highlights of the trip.
