I'm not a big fan of mustard, but I love Dijon.

After leaving Switzerland our next big stop was Paris, France, but Christy really wanted to see a smaller French town so we stopped in Dijon. It was an interesting adventure. When we got there it was raining, we were both exhausted, and it took forever to get to the hostel we had an address for. When we finally found the hostel they were full! We aimlessly walked around the streets of outer city Dijon till we finally got to the other hostel where we got a room. We got a private room and it had a TV. There was only one English channel, so we were forced to watch some British news over and over. Normally it would be annoying enough to turn it off, but we were so exhausted and starved for mindless activity we kept it on. After a much needed nap, we found ourselves in downtown Dijon.
This was a beautiful square. So picturesque. We tried to eat at a little restaurant next to the fountain, but they weren't serving food anymore (I think it was only 7pm). The only place we found that we could still get food from was a grocery store.
Apparently Dijon was the home of a five legged sheep. I didn't quite understand why this was worthy of putting a carving up on a wall.
We went inside this church and found that an orchestra was rehearsing for a concert that was going on later that week. The interior was beautiful and the music was fantastic. However, they only wanted family of the musicians listening so we got kicked out.

We met some really cute French people who didn't speak any English when we were trying to get directions to a certain street. Whoever said French people are all rude, was sadly mistaken. It was a short stay in Dijon, but it provided us with a good amount of rest, so we were ready for PARIS!

grace and peace.
