Another End, Another Beginning
My semester is over.
My project went SO well. The set up was smooth and it looked better than I had imagined in my head. Then my part was over and it was God's turn to show up or not. He did, and in BIG ways! So many people experienced God in and through the art and questions that went with them, and came away convicted, encouraged, or just with a new realization of where they are in their walk with Him. Here are some things people said in their evaluations:
"It affirmed my belief that a lack of words - using just color and texture - can take us to a different place within and in encountering God."
"It has re-awakened my sensitivity to the Lord's voice through His creation."
^The above was written May 20th and I haven't visited the draft until today July 10th. The entire month of May was a whirlwind and honestly I haven't had much time to breathe since then. The new beginning that I reference in the title is my being back at camp again.
I am back at New Life Ranch as the Day Camp Summer Activity Leader. I LOVE my job and this summer has been a blast so far. We just finished our mid-summer week and so I only have four more weeks left. It has FLOWN by. I have loved being back at this place ministering again.
I will be back in Decatur for around two weeks once camp is over, and I cannot wait! I get to see one of my best friends get married, spend time with siblings, and get lots of time with the parents! It will be just what I need to send me back to Denver with a rested, full heart.
Hopefully, I will be better at taking pictures these next two sessions and will be able to show you some of the work I'm doing. And seeing as the one year anniversary of my Europe trip is coming up this week, I will not be making my goal on posting from all the different places before that anniversary comes up. ;)
grace and peace.
