Two Sides of Germany

Well, here we go:
(I'll start at the beginning, because what better place is there to begin?)
Monday morning, July 14th I left for Chicago. Tuesday afternoon, I left Chicago for Frankfurt. I arrived in Frankfurt Wednesday morning. This flight was quite interesting as I was on Air India. I made a friend in the nice Indian man that sat next to me, who loved to talk, and also fell asleep on me at one point in the flight.

Frankfurt:
Frankfurt was like a big American city... except with an old Bavarian town square.
We stayed with our new friend Jenni (the one in between me and Christy), and we had a blast hanging out with these girls. It was only the first day of the trip, so much lay ahead, but I was sad to leave, because we had so much fun. We talked a lot about the differences between how relationships work in Germany and the US. There wasn't much to see in Frankfurt , but these girls made it a fabulous stop.

Highlight: Hanging out with the aforementioned girls.

Nurnburg, Germany:
Nurnburg was a very cute German city. It was smaller than Frankfurt and not a business district like Frankfurt was. The whole place was just adorable. We only spent the afternoon here, but it was enough time to walk around and experience it.
We had our packs with us the whole time, and it was a very hot day, so I sweated a lot that day! There really isn't much else to say about Nurnburg, because we didn't do anything but walk around and soak in our surroundings.

Highlight: Beautiful architecture on a sunny, blue sky day.

Coming up: More pictures from Frankfurt and Nurnburg.
